This is one of those tips that super easy that I always think I’m going to follow, and then don’t. Maybe by posting it it will be a reminder next week.
This tip is for those of you who have weekly garbage pickup AND a refrigerator that you don’t clean out enough (You know, like me.) Set aside some time the day or night before your trash gets picked up (or even the morning that it’ll be picked up) to go through your ‘fridge. Toss anything that’s past it’s expiration date, leftovers or anything that just doesn’t look or smell edible anymore. By throwing it all out the day before your trash goes, you don’t have to worry about funky smells or bugs from the trash sitting out all week.
(I wish our fridge was this clean and organized right now)
If you also wipe down the inside of your refrigerator really well about once a month or so, and clean up spills right away, your ‘fridge should stay pretty clean.
