Weight loss supplements, continued
Monday, July 27, 2009. Posted at 1:14 pmIt seems like there are so many weight loss pills on the market today, and we’re seeing them everywhere.. infomercials/commercials, billboards, facebook ads, radio spots, magazine ads (notice how some ads in magazines even seem to be designed to fit the mag’s overall design, to look like an article rather than an ad? I’ve noticed this with infomercials as well) etc. They all claim to do the same thing(s), basically, but I always wonder how do we really know?
One of my sister tried some OTC supplements, one being TrimSpa, but gave it up after a couple pills. I, personally, was afraid to take them with the risk of choking if you don’t take the pill with a full glass of water. Yeah, the cautions and warnings usually scare me off. Even Alli, which is FDA approved. The digestive “issues” freak me out but it would force one to stick with the diet, I suppose – haha. (Last I heard, my sister’s doctor prescribed a supplement and she has lost weight with it)
Is it all bad though? (Continuing from the previous post) I’d love to hear your opinion on this topic. If you’ve had good or bad experiences or know someone who has.. please share

I think weightloss pills can work at first but people I know that have used them have not had good luck in the long run. Some of the pills can alter your metabolism, and when you stop taking them, your body’s metabolism will run completely differently (often the body goes into starving mode which stores much more fat).
I just run everyday and eat healthy, but taking a pill would be a lot less work!
