One of my favorite things to have when we make pizza or garlic bread is garlic butter. This is the best way I’ve found to make it.

Slice a clove (or several, depending on what you like) of garlic, or press a couple cloves. Place in a microwave-safe bowl. Add butter (again, as much as you like or need).

Cook in microwave at half power for 1 minute and 30-45 seconds. Be sure to watch it so it doesn’t bubble over. You’ll want the butter to be just melted, not cooked. You can take the garlic out, or leave it in. I like to leave it in when I’m using minced/pressed garlic.

Brush on bread.

I brushed some garlic butter on a loaf of homemade french bread, topped it with tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, herbs, cheese and pepperoni and had some delicious french bread pizza for lunch today :)
