In March, I believe, I came across giveaway for a couple Nellie’s All-Naturals products. I entered and decided that if I didn’t win, I would buy a few things to try. I’ve been wanting to try some natural detergent anyway. I thought that doing a giveaway as well would be great.. especially since April was earth month. However, I didn’t get around to ordering the products until it was too late for earth day or as an earth month giveaway in general. So, here we are.
I did order myself a few things to try and got a couple freebies as well (we’ll get to those in a minute).
After doing at least ten loads of laundry with Nellie’s All-Natural Laungry Nuggets I’m really not sure I can go back to our regular detergent! And no, it isn’t because they came in such a neat retro tin. Well, that isn’t the only reason.
So what the heck is a laundry nugget? Nellie’s All-Natural Laundry Nuggets are premeasured pouches of all-natural, unscented detergent. These babies are biodegradable, non-toxic and hypo-allergenic.
Sometimes we’re a little sceptical about all-natural products though, aren’t we? Do they really work as well as everything else? In this case, they definitely do! I’m pretty sure that my clothes even came out smelling fresher than with my old detergent, but that could just be my imagination.
If you or a loved one has a baby, suffers from sensitive skin or is just looking for a greener laundry detergent, my advice is to check out Nellie’s All-Naturals. I really, really love this stuff!
Oh, did I mention that it’s HE certified/front-loader compatible?
* My package of Laundry Nuggets had a tag that said to use hot or warm water only (to help the packet dissolve) but I had no problems using cold water. I’d just hold the nugget under the running water, rub it for a second and the powder would start pouring out. I just threw away the wrapper stuff in case it wouldn’t completely dissolve in cold water.
I also tried out the Oxygen Brightener but I can’t really tell if my whites are brighter. Some whites seemed whiter and some didn’t.. so I’m not sure I can form an opinion on this. I always have that problem with products like this though. However, again, if you are looking for a product that is septic-safe, environmentally safe and chlorine-free give this stuff a shot.
Nellie’s All-Natural also has eco-friendly detergent for your dishwasher (in nuggets, powder or a liquid rinse agent), a multi-purpose soap, and dryer balls. Another great thing about ordering from Nellie’s? They accept Paypal!
And guess what? Those freebies I mentioned earlier? They’re going to one lucky winner! That’s right, Jackie over at Nellie’s was nice enough to throw in a 50-load package of Laundry Soda and two dryerballs!
